PADI Tec 40 Diver

Course Description

The first step to going beyond the recreational diving limits. TEC 40 divers learn the basics of decompression diving and accelerate their decompression with higher mixes of Oxygen. Upon completion divers are trained to a maximum depth of 40m (130’), using two gas mixes up to 50% Oxygen, with a max decompression of 10 minutes. Divers can opt to take this course using a single tank, but doubles are recommended and encouraged.

Horizon Divers – Dive Courses
Course Description

Go further beyond your limits with the TEC 45 diver course. This course is the PADI extension of the TEC 40 course, and often taken at the same time. Students will expand on skills learned during their TEC 40 training. Upon completion divers are trained to a maximum depth of 45m (145’), using two gas mixes up to 100% Oxygen. Divers are required to take this course using doubles.

Horizon Divers – Dive Courses
Course Description

Deeper, longer, & more complex is the name of the game at the TEC 50 level. Experienced TEC 40 & 45 divers push their limits and max depths. Narcosis, extended decompression times, situational awareness, skill, and muscle memory are all parts of a 165’ technical dive. Upon completion divers are trained to a maximum depth of 50m (165’) using two gas mixes up to 100% oxygen.
