Horizon Divers has a wide variety of dive courses available. From first-time divers to experienced scuba experts, our Key Largo, Florida, diving school has training for divers of all skill levels. With more than 100 dive sites and variety of classes, our certified instructors have more than a decade of experience leading dives in the waters near Key Largo.
Featuring PADI, SDI, TDI, and IANTD certified instructors, Horizon Divers has state-of-the-art equipment and a desire to share a love of diving with everyone. We also offer a variety of specialty dives, including lionfish and blue star diver courses.
We utilize all the latest training innovations, including online E-Learning and the tried and true methods learned over years of diving instruction. Scuba Pro, Hollis, MARES and Zeagle are the brands of choice in our training programs because of their reliability and simplicity of operation.

The Scuba Diver Course is perfect for divers who only have a day or two for training, but don’t want to miss out on becoming a certified diver. Scuba Divers can dive in all the same places as Open Water Divers, they just have to be guided by a dive instructor. Divers can upgrade to the Open Water Diver certification at any time.

Course Description
If you started your training at your local dive shop, but wanted the warm blue waters of the Florida Keys over the beautiful green water of your local dive spot then the Open Water Referral Course is the perfect option to start your diving adventure. So many new divers start right here by walking into their local dive center, completing the academics and pool training at home before coming to Key Largo to complete their four required Open Water dives.

Course Description
If it has been at least three years since you have been diving or if you do not feel confident or comfortable with your skills or equipment, this program is for you. Do your Scuba Review with us in the sunny Key Largo at the start of your diving vacation!! Our refresher includes a pool session AND an Open Water Dive at one of our beautiful shallow dive sites to get you comfortable and ready to do more dives with us!
Course Outline
Class Schedule
Starts at 8:00 AM in the shop for the class and pool sessions then you will meet your instructor at 1:00 PM at the boat for a 2-tank dive trip.
Refresher / Reactivate Course
PADI eLearning Fee for Re-Activate if you so choose is $65 per person extra.
Advanced Open Water Diver

Course Description
The adventure continues with the AOW, Advanced Open Water Diver Course. The first steps beyond the Open Water Diver course, the AOW teaches divers to build on their current skill base and expand into new areas of diving with deeper dives, wrecks dives, Nitrox, better Underwater Navigation, side-mount, search & recovery, better buoyancy control, and many more. Over the two-day course divers gain valuable IN-WATER experience.

Advanced Open Water Diver Course
Rescue Diver

Course Description
During the Rescue Diver course students begin to focus outside of their immediate area, and onto other divers. Being aware of, and managing stress while enjoying the underwater world are key skills in this class. Emergency and risk management, rescue skills, accident prevention, and being prepared are all pillars of the Rescue Diver.
